Hydrogen Associations from twelve European countries join forces
DWV and European Hydrogen Association on the Hannover Fair

The German Hydrogen and Fuel Association (DWV) and the European Hydrogen Association (EHA) will present themselves jointly with other partner associations from several European countries on this year’s Hannover Fair.

DWV and EHA are exhibitor on the meanwhile traditional Group Exhibit „Hydrogen and Fuel Cells“, which has been a part of the Fair every year since 1995. It is now a part of the Energy Fair in hall 13. A record number of 133 exhibitors (30 % more than 2006) from all over the world is expected to present themselves on a net area of almost 1500 m˛. The group exhibit is unique in the world in its kind.

The European Hydrogen Association (EHA) now comprises twelve national hydrogen associations from European countries. These are:

  • Belgium
  • France
  • Germany
  • Hungary
  • Italy
  • The Netherlands
  • Norway
  • Poland
  • Portugal
  • Sweden
  • Spain
  • United Kingdom

EHA was founded in 2000 in Brussels with important contributions from DWV. EHA represents hydrogen technology towards the European Commission and the other institutions of the EU. This is becoming more and more important considering the increasing political support for the field in Brussels. Apart from national associations the membership comprises also important industrial companies.

Among other things EHA will present the English version of the brochure „Where does the energy for hydrogen production come from“ which discusses the energetic and economical foundation for hydrogen energy in detail. The German version was published last autumn by DWV; it is one of the most successful DWV publications and had to be printed anew meanwhile. Translations to other languages are under way or planned.

DWV has been on every group exhibit since the association was founded in 1996. It is a forum for contacts with guests of all kind, from government members to school classes. This is an important part of DWV’s public relations work.

Hydrogen is an energy carrier which is sustainable, clean, and independent from fossil primary energies. Together with electrical power it will be an important means to store and to transport energy in a sustainable energy economy. The high electrical efficiency of the fuel cell and ist independence from fossil primary energies make it another important element.

The group exhibit „Hydrogen and Fuel Cells“ is located in Hall 13 of the Hannover Fair from 16. to 20. April. More details about the presentation as a whole are available from Tobias Renz FAIR-PR in Munich (Tel.: +49 (89) 7201 3840, www.fair-pr.com).

The seat of the European Hydrogen Association is Brussels. Outside the Fair period you can contact EHA under +32 (2) 775 90 77 and in the web under www.h2euro.org. During the fair you will find EHA on booth H20/8.

You will find DWV on the same booth. Our phone number remains the same also during the fair.
