European Hydrogen Association promotes Education at the World Hydrogen Energy Conference in Lyon, June 13-16, 2006

The European Hydrogen Association (EHA) in collaboration with the French Hydrogen Association (AFH2), the Italian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (H2IT) and the former Initiative Group Education and Training of the European Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology Platform is organizing an Educational Stand and Educational Session at the World Hydrogen Energy Conference in Lyon, June 13-16, 2006 (www.whec2006.com). The Region of Lombardy is the main sponsor of the stand which is hosting a range of educational activities regarding hydrogen and fuel cells from all over the world:

  • Roadshow “Hydrogen is hitting the roads!/Idrogeno fa strada!”: featuring a hydrogen vehicle (Fiat Doblo) that is carrying educational programs for different audiences, presented by the Region of Lombardy, H2IT, Zincar and Agenbiella.
  • Heliocentris presents educational models;
  • Presentations of the European, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Norsk Hydrogen Association;
  • Educational activities in the Regions of Piemonte and Abruzzo in Italy;
  • Screenings of:
    • Live images of exisiting hydrogen refueling stations (Google Earth);
    • Database of hydrogen projects;
    • Educational programs around the world (material of different organisations);
    • EHA map of hydrogen refueling stations in Europe.

The EHA is chairing an Educational Session at the WHEC Conference on June 14 at 14:30 at the Salle Rhone 3B. The session will include presentations on educational programs from the US, Japan, Australia and EU countries. At the end of the session Air Products will conduct a free Safety Workshop that will start at 17:10 and last till 18:30.

The EHA brings together as active members seven national associations (Association Française de l'Hydrogène, Associazione Italiana Idrogeno e Celle a Combustibile, Norwegian Hydrogen Forum, Swedish H2 Forum, German Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association, Dutch Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association and Spanish Hydrogen Association) and six companies (Air Liquide, Air Products, BOC, Hydro, Acciona Biocombustibles S.A., and Shell Hydrogen).

The EHA welcomes Linde and Hydrogenics that have recently decided to join the EHA.
